"My mum was born in Barmouth and many of my family still live there. I returned home, as i feel it is, twice last year after many years. Things had changed but the town still takes my breath away and now several of my children are as in love with it as me. My youngest fell so in love with Wales she is teaching herself welsh so she can speak to people when she visits this year. Not bad for an 8 year old from Kent. We holiday in Harlech every summer and make regular day trips down to Barmouth.I just wanted to write to say how much the palm trees have improved the promenade and it is great to read about all the good work that you are doing Scott Barton, Sheffield. 15th August 08.

I am writing to you to congratulate you on your efforts during the past few months with the addition of the wonderful palm trees dotted around town, and the lovely new water feature at the harbour celebrating the Cardigan Bay Dolphins. I have been visiting Barmouth for over 40 years and I love everything about the place. When I read in my local paper (the Shropshire Star) of the improvements being made I was a bit apprehensive, but now I have seen the water feature and the palm trees myself, I can truly say you have done a wonderful job. All your hard work is appreciated by all your visitors I am sure. Barmouth will always be the No.1 resort, for me anyway, and I look forward to visiting for many years to come.
